Date of issue and expiration date of customer documentation.

Good morning,

We are asking as mandatory (at least in the online check in) the date of issue and expiration date. I don't see in the Royal Decree 933/2021 anywhere that we have to ask the customers for this data.

These are according to the BOE the mandatory data.

On the other hand the organic law 15/1999 data protection law in its article 4.1 says:

1. Personal data may only be collected for processing, as well as subject to such processing, when they are adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the scope and specific, explicit and legitimate purposes for which they were obtained.

It could be understood that the request for the date of issue and expiration date is excessive. and that we are all incurring in a fault.
